Tactical Weapon Sling: Reliable Gear for the Shooter

A tactical weapon sling is not just another accessory — it's an essential part of gear used to carry firearms over long distances while keeping the user's hands free. It ensures comfortable and secure weapon carry, allowing for quick readiness when needed. During military operations, a rifle sling plays a crucial role — when every second counts, it's vital to have your weapon within immediate reach and be confident that you won't lose it. This can save your life and the lives of your fellow soldiers.

The need to buy a tactical sling arises for anyone who regularly carries a firearm — be it a police officer, security guard, hunter, or military personnel.

Regardless of your skill level, a weapon sling is a valuable piece of gear that enables you to carry your firearm safely and comfortably on your body, reducing strain on your arms.

At the Ragnarok Store, you'll find a wide range of weapon slings made in our own facility in Ukraine. We offer models for every taste and budget — and guarantee high quality across our entire product line.

How to Choose a Tactical Weapon Sling

To choose the best weapon sling, you need to understand the key features to look for when purchasing tactical gear.

Material

First and foremost, a tactical sling must be highly durable — so special attention should be paid to the material it's made from.

The best tactical slings are made from tough synthetic materials such as nylon, Cordura, or polyamide. All military slings at Ragnarok Store are crafted from woven polyamide webbing — known for its impressive strength and durability. We call our polyamide sling "eternal" and we back it with a lifetime warranty.

Size and Width

Before purchasing a sling, check how it adjusts, what kind of loops it has, how wide the shoulder strap is, and whether it may cause discomfort. Tough materials in constant contact with the body can cause chafing and skin irritation. Ideally, the shoulder strap should be about 10 cm wide and have a soft backing to reduce friction.

Also, pay attention to the sling's length — if it's too short, it may cause discomfort and rub against your body.

Attachment

A tactical sling for military use must have reliable attachments. In combat, there is no room for error — failure can be fatal. That's why it's important to choose a sling with secure, dependable mounting hardware.

Ragnarok slings come with metal carabiners that are highly wear-resistant, corrosion-proof, and coated in black to eliminate sunlight reflection. In addition, our slings feature acetal buckles, a material often used in engineering for its strength, stiffness, and wear resistance. Our 25mm buckle can handle over 130 kg of load.

Sling Types

Tactical slings come in several configurations — each with its own features, so it's important to understand them before making a choice.

Single-point sling with MOLLE attachment. Connects via a T-shaped tab to any MOLLE-compatible vest or plate carrier. Suitable for short-barreled firearms.

Two-point sling. Ideal for carrying weapons over long distances. Fits various weapon types, including AKs, ARs, etc. It attaches at two points, forming a loop around the neck and shoulders. Suitable for left-handed users, but note that drawing your weapon may take slightly longer compared to single- or three-point setups.

Three-point sling. Features an additional floating attachment along the strap. Thanks to this design, it's excellent for all types of firearms, especially long rifles. It allows instant weapon readiness and can be easily converted to single- or two-point configurations to match your specific needs.

In summary:

  • Single-point slings are for fast weapon access.
  • Two-point slings are best for long-term carrying comfort.
  • Three-point slings are the most versatile and suitable for any mission.
